Ustadha Taimiyyah Zubair is known for her Qur’anic erudition. This Ramadhaan, I was fortunate to get the daily postings of the Juz-by-Juz summary of the Dawrah-e-Qur’an taught by the renowned Ustadha – through two teachers of Islamic Education: Tr. Ishrath Shaheen & Tr. Saima Naz. I thank both these teachers for sharing these important learning resources. 

I just merged & compressed all the files, and am glad to share this useful work here for the benefit of the seekers of knowledge.

“so woe to those who read them without reflecting upon them”. This statement which is part of a Sahih Hadeeth should serve as a warning to all those who read the glorious Qur’an without reflecting upon its verses or pondering over them.

While we Muslims read a lot from the Book of Allah in the blessed month of Ramadhaan, I pray to Almighty Allah to shower upon us the grace of wisdom to understand and reflect over the teachings of His glorious and gracious Book. Aameen.

The more you reflect, the closer you get!

The Qur’an never makes its readers mentally-challenged! Alhamdulillaah.

The Qur’an is unique. It tells you to think. It makes you to think.

“Qur’an is Made Easy”

Last Friday this was the theme of the Friday Sermon in the UAE.

Even though, every week, I give the links to download the Jumu’ah Khutbahs, I felt like including this as a separate post for the benefit of wider audience. Read on, Inshaaallah.

The miracle in ‘Aayah’

This aayah enchants me a lot: سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الْآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ

“We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.” (Surah Fussilat 41: 53)

And this aayah:

هُوَ الَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي الْأُمِّيِّينَ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا مِن قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ

“It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom – although they were before in clear error”. (Surah al Jumu’ah 62: 2)

The myriad of meanings that the word ‘aayah’ connotes is miraculous indeed.

The verses of the Qur’an are in fact the signs of understanding for men of understanding!

Wa Ma Tawfeeqee il-laah bil-laah

Dear brothers and sisters, Assalamu Alaikum.

In today’s society, success seems to have many “fathers”. Failure is an orphan. Nobody wants to own it!

You might have heard people bragging: ‘Your success is because of me!’ ‘You got promoted because of my recommendation!’ ‘Without me, you’ll be nowhere!’ ‘Your accomplishment is due to my favour!’ ‘No, it’s not because of him, its only because of me, you achieved success!’!!

A true Muslim understands the hollowness of such a bragging!
