Reflecting on a unique Qur’anic Phrase
بسم الله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله
While reading Surah al Kahf, it is amazing to stop at the phrase مِن لَّدُنَّا and مِن لَّدُنك
Why? The meaning gets richer and more eloquent here!
Everything is bestowed by Allah swt. But when it is mentioned with the Words من لّدن the connotation becomes special and specific. Continue reading →

Unlocking the Locked Hearts
بسم الله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله
In Surah Muhammad there is this thinking ayah:
أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا
The meaning of this ayah attracts my attention. It is normally translated as follows:
“Then do they not reflect upon the Qur’an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?” [Surah Muhammad 47: 24
But there is more to the meaning than this translation. Continue reading →

“My dear Reader,
At the outset, I express My sincere thanks to you for making Me so happy in the month of Ramadhaan, giving Me lots of kisses, holding Me to your heart most of the time, giving Me all your love and affection, reading a page here, memorizing a Surah there – my happiness reached such a level that I wonder whether I was lucky to have Myself in your hand or were You so fortunate to have Me in your hand. Reflecting on the du’aa of Laylatul Qadr
Qur’an motivates its readers to reflect upon its verses.
In fact reflection is one of the purposes of the Qur’an.
Let us reflect over the encouraged du’aa of Laylatul Qadr along with some related aayaat (verses) of the glorious Book of Allah, Inshaaallah.

“Woe to those who read them without reflection”
“so woe to those who read them without reflecting upon them”. This statement which is part of a Sahih Hadeeth should serve as a warning to all those who read the glorious Qur’an without reflecting upon its verses or pondering over them.
While we Muslims read a lot from the Book of Allah in the blessed month of Ramadhaan, I pray to Almighty Allah to shower upon us the grace of wisdom to understand and reflect over the teachings of His glorious and gracious Book. Aameen.

The more you reflect, the closer you get!
Note: Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah. I am re-posting this with the intention to spread the word that Qur’an should be read with understanding. Baarakallahu Feekum.
There are many “religious” books available in the spiritual supermarkets of the world. How many of them tell their readers or followers to ponder and reflect over their teachings?
Do you know that there are some wonderful religious books – so “wonderful” that you don’t need a brain to understand!
The Qur’an never makes its readers mentally-challenged! Alhamdulillaah.
The Qur’an is unique. It tells you to think. It makes you to think.
