As pointed out in the post Ramadhaan is Seeker’s Paradise Allah wants us to call upon Him more and more in the blessed month of Ramadhaan as the Doors of Paradise are open and He is ever-ready to bestow His infinite blessings. He has even reserved a Special and Exclusive Gate called Ar-Rayyaan to honour those who respond to His Call by observing fast in the month of Ramadhaan.

Even though the feeling that Allah is Near is more distinct in the month of Ramadhaan, the fact is that He is Near and closer to you than yourself not just in the month of Ramadhaan but also all through your life! Allah has conveyed this Good News to you through His glorious Messenger, Prophet Muhammad sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam, through the medium of this noble ayah:

Saying “Laa Haula Wa Laa Quwwata il-la-Bil-Laah”

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu.

لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِالله  Laa Hawla Wa Laa Quwwata Il-la Bil-laah is one of the powerful statements proclaimed by the believers in Islam.

According to the glorious Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him, it is “one of the treasures of Paradise”.

Qur’anic Du’aa of Angels for the Believers :)

In Surah Ghaafir (also known as Surah al Mu’min) Allah mentions a beautiful du’aa of forgiveness by the Angels for all sincere Muslims.

These no ordinary angels make an amazing du’aa for no ordinary Muslims!

The angels making this du’aa are the Carriers of Allah’s Throne who always glorify and praise Him through Tasbeeh and Tahmeed. They are those who are closest to Allah and also those who are around Him.

These noble angels make du’aa for those Muslims who not only seek repentance but also sincerely follow the Straight Path.

Let us learn this beautiful du’aa, Inshaa’allah.

Seeking Allah’s support in three special cases

While concluding this post on نصر من الله وفتح قريب I had an intention to compile the Qur’anic du’aas on seeking exclusive help and support from Allah but then Satan drifted me and I couldn’t make it that time. Today I am able to, alhamdulillaah.

We all know that the One who created us knows and understand us better. He is not only our Creator but He is also our Supporter and Helper.

Dhul Hijjah has commenced, alhamdulillaah :)

It has been officially announced by the Saudi Press Agency that the crescent for the new month has been sighted.

Confirmed reports say that UAE also announces the same. So accordingly:

1st of ذو الحجة Dhul Hijjah 1435 will correspond to 25th September 2014. 

The Day of Arafah which falls on 9th ذو الحجة Dhul Hijjah 1435 will correspond to 3rd October 2014. 

Eid al-Adha is on 10th ذو الحجة Dhul Hijjah 1435, and will correspond to 4th October 2014.

BAARAKALLAAHU FEEKUM. 

When a sunnah is replaced by a bid’ah, isn’t it a terrible loss?

The Adhkaarأذكار or supplications after Tasleem is from the established Sunnah of Rasoolullaah sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam.

Tasleem, by the way, is to end the Salah by saying Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah, Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.

If you are an Imaam (the one who leads prayers) you need to take time not only for yourself but also facilitate things to those who are being led by you in the congregational Salah.

Calling on Allah through His Names

Making du’aa to Allah through His very own Names is an ibadaah in itself. A very sweet and enchanting experience.

This is a short three page model of some du’aas which one can use any time, and more so during the blessed month of Ramadhaan.

Seeking Light, Spreading Luminosity

The glorious Qur’an directs every human being to seek Light from the Source of Light as Almighty Allah alone can bring out a person from darknesses to Light. So man must understand that he to whom his Creator grants not light, for him there is no light!

Through the “Light Verse” of the Qur’an we understand the importance and significance of Light and Knowledge.

True believers in Islam are those who follow the Light that was sent down with Prophet Muhammad sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam. 

When Tears Speak Louder Than Words!

Here is some relevant news report from Mount Arafah by Arab News, Saudi Arabia’s popular newspaper:  

A white sea of faithful surged from Mina to Arafat as dawn broke on the second day of the five-day event. Waves of men in seamless white robes and veiled women in long dresses joined voices in a crescendo chanting Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik (O God, here I am answering your call).  

The pilgrims were completely lost to their surroundings in a fervor of religious enthusiasm. Many had tears streaming down their cheeks while others raised their faces to the sky, beseeching Allah for forgiveness and mercy. 

An amazingly beautiful du’aa

By the One Who holds my life, the du’aas taught by our Prophet sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam are no less than any encyclopedia!

In fact, some so-called encyclopedias will pale into insignificance when you gather all the Prophetic du’aas available on Planet Earth.

The du’aas are stunningly unique, amazingly beautiful, immaculately human and graciously glorious!

Remembering Allah is the most supreme act a Muslim can do in his life. The excellence of Zikr surpasses all other virtues and merits.

The interest and involvement one finds in staying and working online cannot be found when you work offline. For when you are online, you are connected to, served by or available through a system.

Connecting with one’s heart is to be online with Allah.

Even though the terms online and hotline were not specifically used in 7th century as they are used and understood now in the computer-savvy 21st century but the fact remains that the Qur’an recognized its importance 14 centuries ago! 

Ramadhaan is Seeker’s Paradise!

Have you ever noticed this ayah that is sandwiched between the verses concerning fasting and Ramadhaan?

The hikmah why Allah chose to include this ayah in the midst of verses enjoining fasting in Ramadhaan is best known to Him alone. We can, however, infer that Allah wants us to supplicate more and more in this blessed month as He is ever ready to give more and more. 

Bestowing and withholding: The prerogative of Allah alone!

Among the prescribed Azkaar which we say everyday at the end of each obligatory Salah, this is a beautiful supplication (du’aa). It is concise and comprehensive.

Belief in Tawheed is eloquently expressed in a finest manner through this du’aa, which includes the Tahleel and Tahmeed. This du’aa also signifies a Believer’s Tawakkul in His Lord, Most Gracious.

Let us first read the hadeeth which describes this du’aa and then with the help of Qur’aanic verses try to understand some elements which will enhance our belief in Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aala, Inshaa’Allah. 

Ni’mal Maula Wa Ni’man Naseer!

Today (1st Muharram 1434), I would like to discuss on this very popular statement: Ni’mal Maula Wa Ni’man Naseer! This statement is generally said immediately after yet another most inspiring statement: Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakeel! 

Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakeel, Ni’mal Maula Wa Ni’man Naseer! 

These two phrases/statements are mentioned separately in different Surahs in the Qur’an. The meaning and the context of these two statements are so striking that we notice many among Muslims uttering and proclaiming them together. While it is not ‘a must’ to say them together, yet the miraculous beauty of the Qur’anic words weaves a tapestry in the canvas of one’s mind! Subhanallah!

During calamities we need to increase our du’aas and adhkaar.  Apart from saying ‘Hasbiyallahu wa Ni’mal Wakeel’ (Allah is Sufficient for me; He Alone is the Best to Protect’) and seeking forgiveness for one’s sins, here are some du’aas to be made in times of windstorms or thunderstorms or hurricanes.

We Muslims are taught two beautiful du’aas in the Quran in relation to the Kuffar and the evil-doing people.
