This hadeeth of the Prophet ﷺ encourages us to compete and overtake others in amassing good deeds.

There is nothing called “Jumuah Mubarak”!

It has become common now a days among some sections of Muslim community to greet one another on Fridays verbally or by sending text messages like Jumu’ah Mubarak’.

What is the basis for this? What it a custom among the companions of the Prophet sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam to greet each other on Fridays?  Are we allowed to greet with such a greeting? Let us find out, Inshaa’Allah.

“Rahmah” in Surah al Kahf

Last Friday,  I was reading Surah al Kahf as usual. While reading a thought came to my mind about Rahmah – grace, compassion and mercy. As i was proceeding, i got slow in recitation because my mind was wonder struck at the word ‘Rahmah’ being frequently used in this Surah. Then i paused for a while and thought may be this is yet another miracle of this Surah. A thought came to my mind that Rahmah could even be the theme of this Surah.
