Against Oppression Personified

بسم الله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

There are modern-day Fir’awns and we have this du’aa of Aasiyah!

Fir’awn is the oppressor personified!

Allah SWT presents an inspiring example – the example of the wife of Fir’awn (Pharaoh) the oppressive monarch at the time of Prophet Musa: Continue reading

An Inspiring Story of All Times

PS: I wrote this post 4 years ago when this blog had not many followers/readers. Don’t know whether you have read this before. If yes, thank you so much and Jazakallah Khayr. If not, please read and share, InshaaAllah. And btw, this is one of my best write-ups, alhamdulillah,  and I am glad to say this. Baarakallaahu Feekum.

‘Then He will not neglect us’.

Can you recall which blessed Muslim woman in history said this uniquely inspiring statement? If your answer was Hajar, then you guessed it right!

Do you know the background in which this exceptionally bold lady uttered this revolutionary statement – a statement which I feel has assumed the shape of a dew drop that is permanently embedded in the cheek of time! Continue reading

Are We among the Top Ten Performers?

It doesn’t matter whether you are a man or a woman. You are equally rewarded. No disparity, no gender bias. The only concern must be whether one has these qualities or not.

May Allah help us to take sincere efforts to adopt these qualities in us. Aameen. Continue reading

Maryam is Maryam! Peace Be Upon Her.

Whenever I read Surah Mar’yam, I feel so inspired and happen to end by saying I love Mar’yam عليها السلام

Indeed her contribution, status, role and honour are far greater than what one can could think, say or write about.

We as Muslims have real claim, and greater right for being attached with this immaculate Muslim lady than any Christian would have. For we look at her with much reverence and respect, and draw inspiration from her. By the virtue of being the mother of one of the greatest of Prophets of Allah – Eesa alaihis salam – Maryam عليها السلام is our mother as well, and an exemplary role model.  Continue reading

A Letter to all Muslim Brothers…about Sisters!

Dear brothers in Islam, Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah.

This is to request all Muslim men – brothers, husbands, fathers, fathers-in-law and sons – to consider these two principal verses of the Glorious Qur’an and appreciate the graciousness of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’aala.

Salah (Prayer) and Sawm (Fasting) are two most important pillars of Islam. The interesting point to note is that Allah, while enjoining these obligatory acts of worship, uses a particular phrase that needs our attention, and because of which I said we must appreciate the graciousness of Allah, and of course the humane aspect of Islam.  Continue reading

‘Then He will not neglect us’

‘Then He will not neglect us’.

Can you recall which blessed Muslim woman in history said this uniquely inspiring statement?

If your answer was Hajar, then you guessed it right!

Yes, Hajar said this – Hajar, the great mother of Prophet Ismail and the obedient wife of Prophet Ibrahim! (Peace be upon all of them)

Do you know the background in which this exceptionally bold lady uttered this revolutionary statement – a statement which I feel has assumed the shape of a dew drop that is permanently embedded in the cheek of time! Continue reading
