Islam, unlike other religions, is not found on hero-worship. 

A Ramadhaan With Muhammadur Rasoolullah

When you love a person you want be like him. This is especially and spectacularly true when it comes to the love of Muslims towards their beloved Prophet sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam. To quote Ustadh (late) Khurram Murad,

“Indeed, never in history has a man influenced mankind, even beyond his death, so deeply and so pervasively as he has. He brings light and peace to countless hearts and lives. They love him more dearly than their own selves. In him they find their greatest source of inspiration and guidance. He is the ultimate norm and the perfect example for them…….”

The upcoming Ramadhaan will bring in its wake yet another opportunity for the Muslims worldwide to relive and demonstrate, once again, their unflinching love and reverence to the greatest man ever.

Sal-lal-laahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam, May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him.

I read and re-read this book. Not satisfied, again read and re-read. Every time I read, the message came out live, relevant and refreshing. And how could it not be so when it is about the noble life and splendid life-style of Allah’s Messenger, Prophet Muhammad sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam.

The title of the book is amazing: A Day in the life of Muhammad sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam. The eminent author, Sheikh Abdul al Wahhab al Turayri, has presented the events in such a lucid manner, that you will never feel like keeping the book aside without having read it from first page down to the last.

All Praise belongs to Allah who has guided us unto this. Had it not been for His guidance, we would not have been rightly guided. Wal’laahil Azeem!

Israa wal Me’raaj

Dear brothers/sisters, Assalamu Alaikum.

Every year in the month of Rajab we find Muslims around the world talking, discussing etc. about this unique incident that took place in the glorious life of Prophet Muhammad sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam. It has become a common ‘belief’ among us that this fascinating episode took place in the month of Rajab while the fact is otherwise!

I was reluctant to have this re-posted for the fear of becoming one among those who “follow the crowd”. But then I gave second thought and reconsidered to go ahead with the sole intention to educate and convey the truth of the matter.

Two articles are given here, one is in pdf form, which gives a thorough analysis on different aspects of al Israa wa Me’raaj and the other one is a short article, a fatwa, on whether to celebrate the occasion or not.
