Jerusalem in the Qur’an

This ayah sums up the current politico-socio-religious situation in the world.

“And when it is said to them, ‘Do not cause corruption on the earth,’ they say, “We are but reformers.” Surah al Baqarah 2:11

When the perpetrators of fasad raise their ugly head and do things with impunity, it becomes a colossal fitna for the victims of injustice and oppression.

In times of difficulty …..Do not grieve, for Allah is with us!

As atrocities continue on the oppressed Gazans in particular and the hapless Palestinians in general, and while global Muslims make tons of du’aas beseeching Allah’s help, we need to have hope that things are not always as they seem.

Having said that, I would like you to recall the most inspiring advice our glorious Prophet, Sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam gave to his companion-in-hiding:

Stop hypocrisy and be a man. Be a human being.

The greatest Jihad is to say ‘the word of Truth in front of an oppressive ruler’ declared the glorious Prophet, Muhammad (sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam).

Representatives of all major Indian Muslim Organisations have issued a strong statement condemning the recent Israeli aggression.
