The du’aa of Umar ibn al Khattab رضي الله عنه

The du’aa of Umar ibn al Khattaab رضي الله عنه after reciting the Qur’an is one of its kind and the most comprehensive du’aa ever. And a very beautiful du’aa, Mashaa’Allah!

As we are entering the most blessed days/nights, the last 10 days and nights of this blessed month, I felt this might be of some use at least to those of you who are unaware of this highly meaningful du’aa.

One can make this du’aa after reading/reciting even a small portion of the Qur’an, not necessarily only at the end of one full recitation of the Qur’an.

Let me also add that you can understand and grasp the meaning of this du’aa and make this supplication in your own language as there is no hard and fast rule that the du’aa should be only in Arabic!

Jazakallaahu Khayra for reading this post. Vassalamu Alaikum.

PS: I am changing the homepage of this blog in view of the Laylatul Qadr.  This page 🙂
