About

بسم الله الذي لا يضرّ مع اسمه شيء في الأرض ولا في السّماء وهو السميع العليم

“In the Name of Allah with Whose Name nothing on the earth and in the skies can do any harm whatsoever, for He is the All-Hearer and the All-Knower!

الحمد لله الذي هدانا لهذا وما كنّا لنهتدي لو لا أن هدانا الله

“All Praise is to Allah Who guided us unto this;  Had it not been for His Guidance we would not have been rightly guided”.

Listen to the recitation of this beautiful ayah, Inshaa’Allah

“And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember; then is there anyone who will remember (or receive admonition)?  (Surah al Qamar 54: 17, 22, 32 & 40)

Dear Readers,

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Thanks to the latest technology and the zeal of Muslim individuals and organisations, the world of internet today is not deprived of good Islamic websites.

The creation of this blog, however, is borne out of a particular necessity.

Students and youth need proper guidance especially when it comes to the use of authentic Islamic websites so that they can take advantage of the resources and improve their understanding of the Glorious Qur’an.  We need to guide them to different websites for different aspects of learning the Qur’an: Tilawah, Tarjuma, Tadabbur, Tafheem, Tafakkur, Tajweed, Tanzeel, Tahfeedh etc.

Students have to be told that this website is good for Tilawah, that website is good for knowing the translation of the meanings of the Qur’an, this website is a good aid to memorization of the Qur’an, that website is a good one for Tafseer, so on and so forth.

It is difficult for young learners to keep track of many websites at one and the same time.

I created this blog to facilitate Qur’anic teachings to young learners of the Qur’an. They don’t have to worry about saving the names of different websites – at least when it comes to learning the Qur’an – in the favourite section of their computers.

With separate sub-headings for specific topics, the students and visitors to this blog will, InshaAllah, find it easy to embark on the journey to Qur’anic learning and understanding.

I wanted to make things easy primarily for my students, and secondarily for all the global visitors of this blog. Hence the blog name YasSarNal QuR’aN, and the tag line: An effort in f a c i l i t a t i o n, alhamdulillaah.

To put it precisely, this blog aims to kindle the spark of learning and living by the Qur’an.

When you convey the teachings of the Qur’an, you strive in the cause of Allah.

And those who sincerely strive in His Cause are showered with His exclusive Guidance.

Allah’s assurance is the greatest inspiration:

والّذين جاهدوا فينا لنهدينّهم سبلنا وإنّ الله لمع المحسنين

“And those who strive in Our Cause, We shall Guide them to our Ways. Certainly, Allah is with those who excel in good”.

Thought of doing something before death overtakes me!

After all, we have come from dust, we will go back to dust and will be raised again from dust: منها خلقناكم وفيها نعيدكم ومنها نخرجكم تارة أخرى

For all good things mentioned in this blog, I humbly submit to the Majesty of Allah, Alhamdulillah: All Praise is due to Allah.

I own the responsibility for any errors. May Allah forgive me for that.

I would be grateful to you if you point out to me any error, should you come across any mistake in this blog. You can inform me of any mistakes/errors through comment section, Inshaa’Allah.

May Allah give us the Tawfeeq and Hidayah to live by the Qur’an and the Sunnah. Aameen.

ربّنا تقبّل منّا إنّك أنت السّميع العليم وتب علينا إنّك أنت التّوّاب الرّحيم

سبحان ربك ربّ العزّة عمّا يصفون – وسلام على المرسلين – والحمد لله ربّ العالمين

PS: All posts are authored by me unless otherwise stated. In the initial year of this blog, I took most of the posts from different sources with due courtesy and kind acknowledgement, and whenever I share others’ writings I make it a point to mention it in all honesty. Likewise, if anyone wants to use the material for educational purposes, they can very well use this blog’s content but with due acknowledgement and referring back to this blog.

PS 2: I mostly follow Saheeh International’s English Translation of the glorious Qur’an.

being good new version alhamdulillah

Yes, it can be made into a distinct website but I feel whether it is blog or website, the reach is same.
The only advantage of a website is that you can design your own layout and have things under your control.

In case you have not heard of it it is hosted by Shaykh Fahad al Kanderi and he travellers to various countires to explore the methods the people use to memorise the Quran whilst putting the interviewers to a Quran test. He also gives us tips on how to reflect and

  35. Asalamu Aleikum. I need some help and i am wondering if you can help me..

If yes, then how should we stop at a word that ends with the letter “ya” or the letter “waw” when that letter has a shaddah on it? Normally without the shaddah it would be turned in to sukun, is it the same in this case? As an example the word al-nabeyye in 33:56, if i stop there, does it become al-nabeyy or al-nabee? ie. consonant or vowel?

You cannot believe how happy I was today, I just received the 3 Quran Shareef volumes with English translation you both have worked on. Its hard for me to read the Quran Shareef translation in Urdu since my Urdu is very weak being raised in America so I was so excited that my Abu found your website and the Quran Shareef with English translation for me. Inshallah this is going to make my understanding of the Qur’an and reading much easier! Ameen and May Allah (SWT) bless you for putting the translation in simple English for anyone to understand, thank you and this is the most beautiful gift I could ever get! Alhamdulillah and Ameen.

  38. Dear Brother Muqeet. As salamualaikum. May Allah reward you for your great work. I have a request of you. I was looking on the net recently for a tajweed color coded mushaf in the indo pak font which I could read on my tablet but I could not find a good copy. Therefore, I downloaded a scanned copy and have optimized it for reading on electronic devices. I would request you to put this copy of the mushaf on your site as well if you find it useful. Please take a look at it and if you think its good, please post the copy or at least the link below. Jazak Allah khair.

      Jazakallahu Khayra for the link.
I went through some pages and found that the colour marking are not as per international tajweed standards.
Still it is good work done. May Allah reward the brothers/sisters behind the project. Aameen.
      Baarakallaahu Feekum.
I will inshaa’Allah include the link in Mushaf section.

      • I have. But they don’t seem to understand what I’m looking for. In other countries such as India and Pakistan. There are full time hifz programs and places where children memorize entire Quran before any of their secular education. Once they finish memorization, then they start or may go to normal secular school. Is there anything like that here from what you know?

        Comment by Hassan | September 21, 2017 | Reply

        • Yes, brother. You can arrange for your son/daughter’s hifdh of the entire Qur’an inshaaAllah.
There are many centres catering to this need.
In fact I have many students who have joined our school after completing their hifdh.
You can visit my Islamic Studies Blog for details of the Centres, inshaaAllah:

    • Wa alaikum assalam, Quran.com is good In Shaa Allah. If you tap on the Arabic word, the audio pronounces it in Arabic and a box also appears, with the English translation. Some words have more than one word meanings, eg ‘nasta-een’ means ‘we ask for help’ . Thus I don’t know if a written book would be ‘word by word’ as I think you wish to have. It would simply have the English translation for the whole verse.
