Manifestation of Mercy in Surah al Mulk, Part 2

1. Blessed be Allah Who has kept everything under His absolute control.  The universe is functioning perfectly and smoothly only because  it is controlled by the One and Only Almighty Lord.

The dominion belongs to Him alone! The sovereignty belongs to Him alone!  The privilege to create is His and the privilege to legislate for His creation is also exclusively His!

The problem in the world today is that man has snatched the right of Allah and taken upon himself saying  ‘Sovereignty belongs to people’!  How can we the people be sovereign? It is the folly of the hegemonic man that he considers himself to be the sovereign lord!!  Continue reading

The Luminosity of Mercy in Surah al Mulk

Dear brothers/sisters, Assalamu Alaikum.

The Surah al Mulk is a short and sweet Chapter which is often read by Muslims throughout the world. Let us try to learn some great things from this Surah about the virtue of which, the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (Sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam) said:

“A surah from the Qur’an containing thirty verses will intercede for a man so that he will be forgiven. It is the surah Tabaarak Al-lathi bi yadihi’l-mulk”.  Continue reading

Memorizing the Qur’an and Virtues of Surahs Naba, Yaseen, Waqi’ah and Mulk

Praise be to Allaah.


With regard to the virtues of Soorat al-Naba’ and the reward for reading it, we do not know of anything that applies specifically to this soorah apart for what is known about the rest of the Qur’aan; there is nothing special about this soorah as it were, apart from what we know that whoever reads one letter of the Qur’aan will have one good deed is recorded for him. ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever reads one letter from the Book of Allaah will earn one good (hasanah) thereby. One good deed is equal to ten good deeds the like of it. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter and Meem is a letter.’”
