Adopt Gradation in Teaching Children

From the Story of Prophet Musa and al Khidr, one of the many lessons learnt is to Stop Being Judgmental.

From the point of view of a Teacher/Parent, we learn another lesson: Adopt gradation in addressing and warning your children! Be Polite and at the same time stern in your voice!!

Notice in the following – the tone of voice and how graded is the response of a teacher, al Khidr, to his student, Prophet Musa, alaihis salam:

1st warning:

He said, “Indeed, with me you will never be able to have patience.

2nd warning:

[Al-Khidr] said, Did I not say that with me you would never be able to have patience?”

3rd warning:

[Al-Khidhr] said, “Did I not tell you that with me you would never be able to have patience?”

Isn’t this a lesson for a teacher/parent?
