Excellent Qur’an App

بسم الله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

Al Quran (Tafsir & by Word) is an excellent App, MaaShaaAllah.  I feel it is a better App in terms of features and user-friendliness than all the other available Apps till date.

This Qur’an Study Tool provides verse by verse audio playback with repeat functions, Tafsir ibn kathir, Color Coded Tajweed, word by word Analysis and Translations, index of Quran, note taking, custom bookmarks, search, several simultaneous translations, multiple themes and fonts and much more.

* This App is only for Android, and doesn’t work in Windows Phone.

* App can be viewed in Arabic, English, Bangla, Deutsch (German) French, Bahasa Indonesian, Kurdish, Russian, Spanish and Urdu.

* Advantage is that the Arabic is in Text form, so it occupies less space than the Image files.

* Mus’haf Type: Uthmani OR IndoPak/Asian (Beta)

* Tajweed Rules are separately given with relevant examples of Text and Audio.

* Scrolling down is very easy and fast too: You can view Surah-wise or Juz-wise or Page-wise (Pages total 604 as per the standard Madinah Mus’haf)

* I like page-wise viewing. You can scroll down to the last page in less than 20 seconds. Along side the Page Number, you can find the Surah Name and the Ayah No. which a particular page starts with.

* You also the traditional page viewing mode: Type the page number in box provided.

* Search option is very good. By typing the desired word you can view where all that word occurs in the Translation or Tafseer.

* Share option is convenient: share either in text form or image (that is, screenshot) form.

* Translation-wise it has the following supportive languages: Albanian, Amharic, Azerbaijani, Bengali (4 different translations), Bosnian, Chinese, Divehi (Maldives), Dutch, English (6 different translations), Farsi, French, German, Hausa, Hindi (2 different translations), Indonesian, Kurdish, Malay, Malayalam (2 translations), Pashto, Portuguese, Russian (2 translations), Sindhi, Somali, Spanish (2 translations), Swahili, Swedish, Tamil. Telugu, Thai, Turkish (2 languages), Urdu (2 translations), Uyghur, Uzbek.

* Transliteration: I do not recommend reading Qur’an in transliteration form. It is simply stupid!

* Tafseer-wise it has the following supportive Tafaseer: Arabic: Baghawy, Ibn Kathir, Muyassar, Qurtubi, Sa’adi, Tabari, Tanweer, Waseet, E’raab; Bengali: Tafseer Ahsanul Bayaan; Bahasa Indonesian: Tafseer Jalalyn; English: Tafseer Jalalyn; Russian: Tafseer As-Sa’adi, and Urdu: Tafseer Jalalyn & Tafseer Ahsanul Bayaan.

You can enjoy:
• Verse indexed Tafsir Ibn Kathir in English with embedded Arabic
• Color Coded Tajweed with the same color implementation as iquran (For Kitkat and up)
• Word by Word Rendering, Root Information, Translation, Word Details and Verb Forms
• Bookmarks/Favourites separated into user made categories
• Quran Index
• Taking notes in each ayah
• Bookmarks/Notes Import/export to online, file feature
• A powerful full-text search engine with highlights
• Robust audio system with repeat, group playback of verses function to aid in memorization
• Various fonts, pinch-zoom feature and multiple Themes with night view
• Autoscroll feature
• View different translations simultaneously
• Several downloadable recitations for verse by verse recital (supports gapless/continuous recitation) including Mishary Al-Afasy, Husari (muallim)
