The Last Laugh

He who laughs last, laughs best.  The last laugh always gives the satisfaction of ultimate triumph or success especially after being scorned or regarded as a failure. This proverb is very much Qur’anic.

Today, jesting, jeering and mocking at Muslims and Prophet Muhammad (sal-lal-laahu-alaihi-wa-sallam) has become the order of the day.

It is not something that is new. It has been so since the advent of Islam.

History of the world is witness to the fact that all laughing and jeering by hate merchants and enemies of Islam resulted only in giving advantage to Muslims to have the last laugh. Islam emerges as the winner, always! Truth triumphs!

When Islam triumphs in this world, it brings happiness and cheers to the believers.

The last laugh, in the truest sense of the word, will be on the Day of Judgement. The right place and suitable occasion to enjoy, after having been suitably rewarded by the Lord of the Worlds for being patient in this world.

Read what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’aala has to say about the last laugh.

“Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.

And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.

And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.

And when they saw them, they would say, “Indeed, those are truly lost.”

But they had not been sent as guardians over them.

So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,

On adorned couches, observing.

Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?” (Surah al Mutaffifeen 83: 29-36)
