Seeking Allah’s support in three special cases

While concluding this post on I had an intention to compile the Qur’anic du’aas on seeking exclusive help and support from Allah but then Satan drifted me and I couldn’t make it that time. Today I am able to, alhamdulillaah.

We all know that the One who created us knows and understand us better. He is not only our Creator but He is also our Supporter and Helper.

“But Allah is your protector, and He is the Best of helpers”. (Surah al Imran 3: 150)

We Muslims not only proclaim Allah’s glory, we also submit in humility and exclaim with dignity how Excellent the Helper Allah is!

“But if they turn away – then know that Allah is your protector. Excellent is the protector, and Excellent is the helper.” (Surah al Anfaal 8: 40; Also refer Surah Hajj this ayah)

It is not out of blind faith or twisted philosophy we say that Allah alone is our Helper and Supporter. It is borne out of conviction and unshakable reliance in the power and majestic glory of our Creator.

Now let us learn the du’aas mentioned in the Qur’an vis-a-vis seeking Allah’s exclusive help and support in dealing with three different situations in life:

1. Seeking help against falsehood and its perpetrators:

(Prophet Nooh) said, “My Lord, support me because they have denied me.” (Surah al Muminoon 23: 26)

2. Seeking help against mischief mongers and corrupt people:

“He (Prophet Luut) said, “My Lord, support me against the corrupting people.”  (Surah al Ankabuut 29: 30)

3. Seeking help against disbelievers and enemies of Truth:

“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Surah al Baqrah 2: 250)

“Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Surah Aal Imran 3; 147)

“Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Surah al baqarah 2: 286)

May Allah guide us all and keep us under His care and protection, today and always, here and in the Hereafter. Aameen.

  2. Thanks for great comments, yes, we do come through such disbelivers, It’s not written on the face who are the disbelivers, but they think are clever enough, but allah is watching them, he is the knower of every unseen. He is the greatest.
