  1. at what time was the eclipse? can you explain further on the “Blood moon”? Does it happen in every Dul Hijja?
Is there any particular verses from the Quran to be recited during Salatul Kusoof?

    • Dear brother, Assalamu Alaikum.
      Thank you for your query.
In dubai, that is UAE, the eclipse was not visible.
Go to this link to know when it was actually: http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2014-october-8
Blood Moon is used to describe the nature of the Moon when Full Lunar Eclipse happens.
Dhul Hijjah and eclipse has NO CONNECTION at all. It was just a coincidence that it happened in this month.
No, there are no particular verses to be recited in the Salatul Kusoof.
But the salah is different from normal salah as it has two rukus in each rakah.
For details read answer to question 7 from this link inshaAllah:
And also, brother, if the eclipse is not sighted in a place it is not necessary to offer salatul kusoof.
So if you have not offered, you need not worry about it.
