The Month of Safar
Dear sisters and brothers, Assalamu Alaikum.
In reaction to the post on why not to celebrate the Gregorian New Year, I have received some positive and negative feedback. Insha’Allah I will respond to that in the form of a separate post.
Main point in that New Year post was to highlight the aspect of mythology and supersition.
Today I would like to touch upon some other types of superstitious beliefs but which are unfortunately found prevalent among some sections of Muslim society with regard to the month of Safar. Read more »
